MoldFixer is a free referral service that connects homeowners with independent local contractors for water, fire/smoke, and mold services. We are not the contractor performing the work. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information related to your use of our site and phone line.
1) Who we are & contact
MoldFixer is based in San Diego County, California. Address: 126 Cherrywood St., San Diego, CA 92064. Phone: (858) 400-3506. We operate a phone line for inbound calls only.
2) Information we collect
- Phone interactions: the number you call from, ZIP code, city, brief description of your issue, scheduling preferences, and any details you provide during the call. We do not use SMS or email outreach.
- Website logs: standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies/analytics: we currently do not use marketing cookies. If we add analytics or tracking later, we will update this Policy.
3) How we use information
- To connect you with an independent local contractor and coordinate scheduling.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and phone service.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4) How we share information
- Independent contractors: we share only the information needed to contact you and assess your issue (e.g., phone, ZIP, brief description).
- Service providers: hosting, security, and infrastructure vendors under contractual confidentiality duties.
- Legal: to comply with law or protect rights, property, and safety.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of certain personal information. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may also opt out of sale/share (not applicable here), and limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not use it for additional purposes).

7) Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Data is processed in the United States. By using our site or calling us, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
